Privacy Policy

WatchGrid is designed as a local-first desktop app. This policy explains what data is stored locally, what is sent to WatchGrid services, and what third-party services may process data.

Data Stored on Your Mac

WatchGrid stores browser data, browsing history, workspace names, pane layouts, preferences, and license status locally on your device. Private windows use a separate temporary browser session and do not write WatchGrid browsing history.

License Activation and Purchases

When you buy, activate, or restore WatchGrid Pro, the app may send your license key, Stripe Checkout session ID, claim token, app version, and platform to the WatchGrid license API to verify Pro access.

Payments are processed by Stripe. WatchGrid does not store full card numbers. Stripe may process payment details, billing information, tax information, fraud prevention signals, and transaction records according to Stripe's own policies.

Website Analytics

The WatchGrid website may use Google Analytics 4 if analytics is configured. Analytics events can include page views and clicks on download, checkout, and support links. These events help understand launch performance and improve the site.

Support

If you contact support, WatchGrid may use your email address, message content, Stripe email address, and purchase details to respond to the request, restore a license, investigate compatibility issues, or review a refund request.

Third-Party Websites Opened in WatchGrid

WatchGrid is a browser. Websites you open inside WatchGrid, including video platforms and streaming services, remain subject to their own privacy policies, cookies, account systems, tracking, and platform rules. WatchGrid does not control those third-party services.

Sharing

WatchGrid does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers such as Stripe, hosting providers, analytics providers, and email providers when needed to operate the product, process payments, provide support, or comply with legal obligations.

Retention

Local app data remains on your Mac until you delete it or uninstall the app data. Purchase and license records may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, support, and legal compliance.
